...and the journey begins....

This journey has been a long time coming.

My husband and I did what most couples do. We got married, bought the "perfect" cookie-cutter 1,850 square-foot house 5 months later, and purchased stuff we didn't need to fill rooms we don't use.

Then, after 4 years, we realized we'd be much happier in a smaller, character-filled house that fits our earthy personalities much better.

Which brings us to today.

Aaron and I just concluded our first ever GARAGE SALE. We made some money...but more importantly, we got rid of lots of STUFF we didn't need and never used. The journey ahead of us will be long and tiring...but it will also be intensely rewarding. We're ready for a change. A simpler life. A life with less stuff and more happiness.

Lots of people will never understand our journey...but that's ok with us.

I hope and pray that this blog will be an open-hearted, honest journal of the journey we're on. I have always hated change and chaos but being married to Aaron & living life with him has taught me that change and the occasional chaotic moment make life worth living. Oh, how I love that man. He is the yin to my yang (...although sometimes I want to KILL him. Just keeping it real, y'all).

We're a unique couple with lots of big dreams. Follow us as we sell our house on Culp Farms Drive and simplify our lives on Pine Street.
